                             PRAYER OF ABSOLUTION
                             --------------------
                                       
Ye Lord of powers,  who art before  ages and who  lasts forever, Thou that had
created the sun for the illumination of the day, and the night for the rest of
all people, we thank Thee Ye King of all ages because Thou admitted us to pass
this night in peace and  brought us to the  daybreak.  Therefore, we ask  Thee
our Lord, King of all ages, may the light of  Thy  face shine upon us, and may
the light of Thy divine knowledge illuminate us. Make  us Our  Lord be sons of
light  and sons of daytime  that we  may pass  this  day  in righteousness and
purity and good disposition,  and that we  may accomplish the remainder of the
days  of  our life without   stumbling,  through  the   grace, compassion, and
love-of-mankind of Thy Only-Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and by the gift of Thy
holy Spirit now and unto the ages of ages.
                                                                         Amen.
