A Prayer Before Meals
---------------------
O You, who have blessed the barrel of flour and the cruse of oil in  the house
of the widow through the prayer of Your prophet Elijah, accept our prayers and
bless us all O Lord, and these gifts which we are  about  to receive from Your
bounty.

O You, who have  blessed  the  water at the  marriage  in Cana of Galilee  and
changed it into good wine through Your Divine Power,  bless us all  O Lord and
these gifts which we are about to receive from Your bounty.

O You,  who have blessed the five  loaves and  the two fishes and through Your
honored disciples  You fed  the yearning thousands, bless  us  all O Lord, and
these gifts which we are about to receive from Your bounty.

Through Christ Jesus our Lord. For Thine is the Kingdom and the  Power and the
Glory forever, Amen.
