St.Mark's feast in Alexandria: ----------------------------- On Tuesday May 5th, HH the Pope and HG Abba Joannes visited Alexandria to celebrate the evening of St.Mark's feast and prepare the aromates.. HH gave the lecture there and returned back at the same night.. With Abba Demianos Greek Orthodox Metropolitan for St.Catherine Monastery: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the morning of Thursday May 2nd, HH receive Abba Demianos Abbot of St.Catherine Monastery in Sinai.. HG Abba Joannes attended the meeting as well as the lawyer Mr.Antoine Elias advisor for the Greek Orthodox Society in Cairo.. The first time HH knew Abba Demianos was 33 years ago when HH visited the monasteries in Athos Mount 1963.. Both of them respect this ancient relation.. St.Demiana's feast in Barary (desert): ------------------------------------- HG Abba Bishoy celebrates St.Demiana's feast in her monastery in Bulkas' desert in the period 6-20 May where masses and evening prayers are held daily.. The Governor of the Dakahlia area and all the people's leaders will visit the monastery at the end of the celebrations.. The governor has visited it few weeks ago to receive HH Pope Shenouda who was there.
